Calvin Cleveland Cyril White

Calvin White enjoyed a distinguished career in accounting, business and finance spanning more than 40 years. He is a retired accountant (F.C.P.A. (C.G.A.)), Chartered Secretary (A.C.I.S.) and Professional Administrator (P.Admin.). He further enhanced his expertise by completing executive education programs in institutional pension finance at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and also at the World Bank.

 

 

His career demonstrates an extensive commitment to and engagement in public service and financial management. He is a prior Chairman of the Bermuda Land Development Company Board of Directors, The Bermuda Government Public Funds Investment Committee, The Berkeley Institute Board of Governors and a past president of The Certified General Accountants Association of Bermuda. He has served as the Acting Director of the Health Insurance Department, Assistant Director of the Department of Social Insurance, a Corporate Trust Officer for the Bank of Bermuda, a director of the Hotel Pension Fund, the Restaurant Pension Fund and the Construction Pension Fund and a Commissioner of the Commission for Unity and Racial Equality (C.U.R.E.), He co-founded Atlantic Connection, a financial education and economic development initiative providing financial literacy and fiduciary education conferences to national social security schemes throughout the Caribbean region and Bermuda for 13 years. Mr. White also assisted in the development of the Bermuda National Pension Scheme.
