Ari Ming

 Ari Ming is the Director, Aerodrome Development and Technical Services for the Bermuda Airport Authority. He oversees technical operations at the new airport passenger terminal building and the effective maintenance of both the new and former airport terminal buildings.

 

A professional architect, Mr. Ming joined the Airport Authority in 2018 on secondment from the Government of Bermuda’s Ministry of Works and Engineering, serving as Airport Redevelopment Manager.

 

 While providing technical support to the Airport Authority on the construction of the new passenger terminal building, Mr. Ming participated in international airport-specific training and education, and in 2019 was appointed Director Designate, Airport Redevelopment for the Bermuda Airport Authority. 

 

Mr. Ming earned his professional architectural degree from the University of Toronto and has worked in the architecture field for most of his life starting in residential design as a draftsperson at age 17. His architectural experience moved to civil and institutional through work experience at Carruthers, Shaw & Partners Architects Ltd. (now CS&P Architects) in Toronto, Canada as a graduate/intern architect. In 2003 he returned to Bermuda and worked for the Government of Bermuda for more than 15 years. As a Government Architect his role included research, planning, design and managing projects and contracts.

 

Among his professional positions, Mr. Ming served as President of the Institute of Bermuda Architects (IBA), from 2010 to 2015. He has also participated as a member on many professional boards, committees and associations including the current Building Code Review Committee. He was also a past member of the Economic Empowerment Zone’s professional group facilitating construction incubator Contract Management sessions for Bermudian contractor businesses.
