Philip Rogers

Phil Rogers, Director of the Bermuda Weather Service, has over 30 years experience in meteorology operations and management with expertise in both marine and aviation meteorology, ranging from sub-artic to tropical climates. Phil has over 20 years of experience managing meteorological operations in the middle east including 12 years based in Dubai managing five airports within the UAE. Phil holds a BSc in Physics and a Graduate Diploma in Meteorology from Dalhousie University, Canada.

 

 

Phil has been involved in quality management of meteorological and air navigation systems, holding an ISO 9000 lead auditors certificate, and is also certified in the ICAO defined Safety Oversight of Meteorological Services. Phil also has extensive experience in developing software to support meteorological facilities and systems. He has advised civil aviation authorities on national regulations for meteorology, and supported the planning and operations of a national weather service, as well as being the meteorological lead in aviation accident and incident investigations.
